Max, 22, is a work-study student in Paris in a startup where he takes care of communication and events. He voted for Emmanuel Macron in the first round of the election, like 20% of 18-24 year olds according to an Ipsos / Sopra Steria survey, and will vote for him again on Sunday April 24 for the second round of the election.

The subjects that mainly interest Max are studies, the price of energy and purchasing power. He also says that he managed to get his work-study contract thanks to the “1 young person 1 solution” plan, set up by the government. “During the five-year term, I was lucky enough to benefit from a lot of measures put in place by Emmanuel Macron”, he said, also citing the inflation check he received via Urssaf.

By working in the start-up environment, Max admits that he did not have the feeling of being excluded by the politics of Emmanuel Macron. “On the contrary, I felt supported. I’m aware that’s probably not what most kids my age share.“. According to Max, Emmanuel Macron embodies “a France that works, mobilizes and produces“. The young student evokes qualities of orator and “a certain presence internationally and with companies“. More generally, Max greets “economic barometers that are doing well“.

Max thinks he will watch the debate between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen on Wednesday April 20. Even if the young alternating does not adhere to the program of Marine Le Pen, he wants to see her debate. “Before saying that we don’t agree with something, we must also know what it’s about. I find it interesting to know how Marine Le Pen puts forward her ideas to then express my disagreement“.

The student will watch the debate by “voyeurism and to keep informed” and declares that he will have no influence on his final choice. “I don’t think the debate will influence my choice, but I think it’s still something to do“.
