On Monday October 3, a 16-year-old handicapped teenager was violently attacked by other young people in Saint-Maximin (Oise), confirmed Wednesday October 5 the public prosecutor of Senlis, Loïc Abrial, in a press release.

On a video of a few seconds broadcast earlier this week on social networks, we see a teenager stuck against a fence, surrounded by four other young people. Three hit him, several punches, kicks… The high school student tries to defend himself, to push them away with his legs. Then the aggressors move aside and the victim recovers his belongings, on the ground. This video was very shared, in particular by figures of the far right to denounce insecurity.

The 16-year-old boy filed a complaint with the Chantilly gendarmes on Tuesday October 4, accompanied by his mother. According to the prosecutor, the teenager says he was taken to task “twice” where he is in school. He specifies that he has an apparent disability known to his attackers, who attacked him near his high school.

An investigation is open for “aggravated violence”, entrusted to the research brigade of Chantilly and the territorial brigade of Chantilly. According to the Senlis prosecutor, “many checks” are in progress. “The victim will undergo a forensic examination to determine the severity of his injuries”. Legal and psychological support will be offered to him and his family.
