Eugène Lapierre leaves the management of the National Bank Open

After 21 years in office, the director of the National Bank Open, Eugène Lapierre, will give way to Valérie Tétreault.

Eugène Lapierre had been director of the Montreal Rogers Cup tournament since 2001.

He had previously held the positions of director of the Granby Challenger, director of the Canadian Junior Tennis Open in Repentigny and director of tennis programming and the Canadian Tennis Open. Since 1999, he has also acted as assistant to the tournament director.

His successor, Valérie Tétreault, a former professional tennis player, is a sports analyst at TVA Sports and director of communications at Tennis Canada.
