On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the National Front, the party, which has become the National Rally since 2018, is organizing a symposium at the Palais Bourbon. A celebration in all discretion and marked by the absence of the emblematic co-founder of the FN: Jean-Marie Le Pen.
The discreet celebration of this anniversary seems to be a deliberate choice by the president of the RN, Marine Le Pen. Far from the slippages of her father, keeping the sulphurous memory of the National Front at a distance appears to be the strategy adopted by Marine Le Pen to institutionalize the party. After having collected more than 40% of the votes in the second round of the presidential election and with a parliamentary group of 89 elected to the Assembly: the RN has never come so close to power.
