At the time, mother and daughter treat themselves to a trip to the spa. What they don’t know then is that in Korean custom, no swimsuits are allowed. A zen and relaxing parenthesis which unfortunately turned into a real test for the young Meghan Markle: “It’s a very sad experience for a girl in her teenage years because you walk into a room where all the women, aged 9 to 90 maybe, are walking around completely naked waiting to have their scrubs on the tables every lined up next to each other.”
Embarrassed to see so many different bodies at a time in her life when hers is being formed, Meghan Markle had no choice but to look away. She was only waiting for one thing: for this ordeal to be over. “All I wanted was to put on a bathing suit which was obviously forbidden” she added. When Lilibet is older, Meghan Markle will therefore be content with a spa trip to America to avoid unpleasant surprises.
