(Montreal) A 16-year-old young man was stabbed Friday evening in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough.

A call was reported to the police on Friday evening around 6:40 p.m. concerning a teenager who was stabbed in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough near a public swimming pool at the intersection of Ball Avenue and Durocher Street.
The 16-year-old was injured in the upper body by a sharp weapon, said the Montreal Police Department. The teenager was transported to a hospital center and the authorities are still awaiting a return on his state of health.
According to initial information, the victim was attacked by a suspicious group who then fled before the arrival of the agents.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the assault. Recall that a man was stabbed to death Friday morning in the Mile-End, in Montreal.
