seven out of ten people still have sex after age 60

Seniors and sex go hand in hand. Journalist and doctor Damien Mascret explains it on the set of 19/20, Thursday September 29. “In reality, only those under 60 are surprised that their elders maintain an active sex life”, he explains. Based on a recent study, he indicates that nine out of ten people still feel desire for their spouse. Additionally, seven out of ten people still have sex after age 60 and find that an aging body can still be desirable.

However, there are changes with age. “The body is less dashing, sexual intercourse decreases in frequency, but we know that frequency is not a good indicator of quality. However, what seniors are looking for is quality first”, explains Damien Mascret. The journalist reports another American study which shows that three out of four seniors always have satisfactory physical relationships, and above all that three out of four have very good emotional relationships.
