It’s the kind of moment that marks a life forever. On November 4, 2021, Kheira Hamraoui returns home in the car of her teammate at Paris Saint-Germain Aminata Diallo when she is the victim of a terrible attack. Two hooded men force her out of the car before beating her, mainly in the legs. “He drags me to the ground, insults me. (…) When he took out his iron bar, hidden under his jacket, I thought I saw a large knife… I was sure he was going to kill me.”says the 32-year-old footballer in an interview with Paris Match which is published in today’s magazine.
A traumatic experience and after several months of investigation, the police officers of the crime prevention brigade of the judicial police of Versailles decide to arrest his teammate, Aminata Diallo. The latter is now one of the main suspects in the investigation into the attack on Kheira Hamraoui even if her lawyers continue to proclaim her innocence in the media. However, for many months, Kheira Hamraoui was the target of terrible rumors on her account and in particular on social networks, many attacking her and spreading rumors about her.
It’s hard to accept to have survived this terrible attack, then to have been humiliated
An extremely difficult period for the young woman, as she explains. “For ten months, I have been trying to rebuild myself, a specialist has helped me to live with this trauma. It is hard to accept having survived this terrible attack, then to have been humiliated by a campaign of harassment of unprecedented violence”she lets go.
Weight loss and a “hellish calvary”
If the situation seems to be improving with the possible resolution of the investigation, Kheira Hamraoui has lived through hell as she explains and the situation has made her lose weight. “Today again I am stunned. I lost my appetite and almost 6 kilos. During the day, I fear a new attack. At night, I’m a light sleeper, agitated by nightmares that keep coming back”she says in a poignant testimony.
If she has great strength of character and she will do everything to return to a normal life, Kheira Hamraoui is still going through very complicated times today. “I live an infernal, unreal Calvary”she concludes.
Kheira Hamraoui not at all supported by PSG
Paris Match then asks the footballer if PSG supported her during this extremely difficult period, and her answer is straightforward! “Not at all, I never received any support or message from the club or the French Federation. Sporting interests are their only priorities; humans don’t count“, retorts Kheira Hamraoui who goes even further in his reflection. “Only Corinne Deacon, coach of Les Bleues and my trainer Didier Ollé-Nicole supported me… At what cost! The latter is even a collateral victim of my story: since then, he has been dismissed [sous prétexte d’une rumeur non fondée de comportements inappropriés vis-à-vis d’une joueuse mineure]. I’m so disappointed“, she shares. Kheira Hamraoui, however, assures that she does not blame anyone and does not have hatred. “Everyone must take responsibility and take responsibility for their actions.“, she says despite everything.
Aminata Diallo remains presumed innocent of the charges against her until the final judgment.
