The US Coast Guard began operations on Wednesday (September 28) to find 23 missing migrants after their boat sank off Florida, where Hurricane Ian is making landfall.

Carrying sustained winds of up to 250 km / h and gusts again “stronger”Ian is listed as Category 4. After the west coast of Florida in the afternoon, the hurricane must then “to move inland” during the day, and “emerge over the western Atlantic by Thursday evening”.
Between 30 and 45 cm of precipitation is expected in central and northeast Florida, and up to 60 cm in some places, according to the NHC. The phenomena of marine submersion could also reach more than five meters on the coasts.
