The film earned $19.2 million, according to preliminary figures from Exhibitor Relations released on Sunday.
Even before its release, it had caused a lot of talk, giving rise to much speculation about tensions, rivalries and incidents between the main protagonists. The film also did not really appeal to critics, posting a score of only 38% on the site Rotten Tomatoes, which compiles the opinions of specialized journalists.
In don’t worry darlingkind of ShowTruman agonizing in the United States of the 1950s, Florence Pugh (black widow) plays Alice, a young woman in all respects well living in Victory, a small model town built in the middle of the desert by a mysterious businessman, played by Chris Pine.
Like all her neighbours, Alice has a life regulated like clockwork and, a priori, everything to be happy alongside Jack (Harry Styles), her companion, who leaves every morning for a job she knows nothing about.
