For Canal +, Florence Foresti arrives in “Disorders” from October 3, a series where the comedian embodies a single mother with a depressive tendency. A tailor-made fiction which is nevertheless not without evoking some traits of reality on the personality of the artist. To the magazine “Télé Loisirs”, she confides her own anxieties, the constraints linked to notoriety but also her daily life with her daughter Toni, 15, whom she must share, in shared custody, with her ex. If she admits that in relation to her character, there are similarities: “Yes, there are similarities. The apartment in the series is the one I lived in. The housekeeper is really mine. And the dog is… mine’s nephew! They have the same mouth. I use my experience to go to more universal subjects. That’s what I’ve always done. I set the series in 2017 because, after “Madame” (2016), I was a little depressed, like after every show: we wonder what we are going to do, if we still have things to say… C It was my next show, “Epilogue,” that saved me.”
“I didn’t want to betray her”
Florence Foresti also addresses a subject that she knows perfectly well: that of shared custody. Her character, in fact, only appears in the series during the weeks when she does not have her daughter. “First, when my daughter is with her father, my character finds herself in absolute solitude, which gives interesting situations to tell. The life of a mother with a child is even funnier than that of a childless mother.” And to clarify: “But these are the limits of my private life, and I also want to protect my daughter. I’m willing to expose myself, but not her. I am not Celine Dion! Do I want to make her experience this? Does she agree that I show what a mother-daughter relationship is? I’ll see when she’s older. With “Désordres”, I did not want to betray her. But I took notes. She’s 15 and there’s plenty to do when living with a teenager. But I will ask his opinion, I will do nothing without his approval.” And to the question of whether Toni watched this fiction, Florence Foresti responds tit-au-tac, not without pride: “She watched three episodes. And she loved it, even if it’s hard to see her mother embodying things in our real life. She was very moved. I didn’t even change his first name. Will the daughter follow in the artistic footsteps of the mother? The future will tell…
