A major fire ravaged this Friday afternoon part of the premises on the ground floor of the Secours Populaire branch located in Roubaix. For two hours, around twenty firefighters, mainly from Roubaix and Tourcoing, fought the flames. A dozen machines were mobilized for the intervention. In total, 150 m2 of the hangar were affected.

Two lances had to be used to put out the fire. By 6 p.m. the fire was out. There were no casualties but significant material damage.
Rounds are planned for the night to check that the fire does not start again.
