A police operation is underway in Saint-Hyacinthe in the Sacré-Coeur district to locate a potentially armed person who is circulating near Hyacinthe-Delorme secondary school, underlines Sergeant Jean Raphaël Drolet, spokesperson for the SQ.

No casualties were reported. The high school has applied its prevention measure plan. “Students will leave school gradually, one group at a time,” said the Saint-Hyacinthe School Service Center on social media.

The suspect is said to be wearing a red hooded coat, as well as loose pants with a white line, according to the SQ. Authorities are asking people not to attempt to intercept the suspect, but instead to call 911.
