This is the unmissable event of the literary season in the department. The “Lire en Poche” event is preparing its 18th edition in Gradignan on October 7, 8 and 9 at Mandavit Park.
Read in Pocket is more than 100 authors present on the site to meet the public and sign books. Besides, there really is something for all tastes and all ages, because “youth” authors represent nearly a third of the authors who make the trip to Gradignan.
Several highlights are also planned such as meetings, conferences, debates and other activities to discover on site.
Among the authors expected at Lire en Poche: Michel Bussi, Mélissa Da Costa, Alain Damasio, Camille Kouchner, Pierre Lemaitre, Marie NDiaye, Marc Levy, Virginie Grimaldi, Agnès Desarthe, Olivier Norek

Florence Aubenas is a senior reporter for the newspaper Le Monde. She worked for nearly 20 years writing the newspaper Liberation, until 2006 before leaving for the weekly, the Nouvel Observateur for the next 6 years.
Essayist, she has published several works such as “Le Quai de Ouistreham” in 2010 which received the Jean Amila-Meckert prize and the Joseph Kessel prize in 2010 and the Crystal Globe 2011. A book in which she tells the life of the most precarious and the poorest. For this, Florence Aubenas lived for 6 months alongside those who struggle on a daily basis, living off odd jobs such as cleaning the ferries between Ouistreham and Portsmouth, hence the title of the book. The journalist then registered with the employment center and presented herself as a woman without a diploma.

In Gradignan, Florence Aubenas will take part in round tables, notably on Saturday October 8 at 11:30 a.m. with Caroline Lamarche and on Sunday October 9 at 3 p.m. with Marie Desplechin. The journalist will also be present for a literary breakfast on Saturday morning at 10.30 a.m. and will be signing her books on the Mollat bookstore stand.
