Used sports equipment is a good plan to preserve purchasing power. Hiking shoes, sportswear for children: There is something for every taste.

In a Parisian sports equipment store, a small, still discreet corner is reserved for second-hand items. You can find good deals there. Thus, new hiking boots cost 269 euros, when the same model in second hand, but like new, costs 190 euros. Few customers know that there are these used products. However, the idea appeals. “The cost of living is going up in all areas, and I think that’s a great idea”says a customer.

Second-hand sales represent only1% in the shop, but we are expecting a rapid increase in this market. In another store, this time associative, certain objects have sometimes lived longer, and the prices are therefore lower. In a recycling center for sporting goods, individuals make donations. The store also collects new items donated by major brands. the second-hand market makes it possible to reuse some of the 100,000 tonnes of sporting goods thrown away every year.
