Her fans will have the pleasure of seeing her again at the end of the month on television: after more than ten years of theater, Emmanuelle Béart has indeed decided to make his big comeback on the small screen in a series, E-syndrome, where she will respond to a slew of stars, including Vincent Elbaz, Kool Shen and Richard Borhinger. Happy with this new challenge, the actress confided in the magazine with rare frankness. TV 7 Days on her relationship to age, she who is slowly approaching 60.
A milestone that she will celebrate in August 2023, but that she sees coming without much fear. “I compose with what I have, with the woman that I have become and that we have to accept to see aging…“, she explained in particular. “It’s like that. There’s nothing we can do about it. Obviously, it’s not easy every day, but the way we look at ourselves and that of others is important in order to accept seeing ourselves change. And this look from cinema, theater or TV is important to me because it gives me the courage to continue“.
Married since 2018 with director Frédéric Chaudier, Emmanuelle Béart knows that she may have taken her serenity from the boards, on which she spent many years. Indeed, in the theater, the actresses and the marks of time are less scrutinized. “In the theater, we never suffer from this“, she confirms, before adding: “The older we get, the better off we are. Like good wine. We become almost like clay: a wonderful material to sculpt. The theater watches you grow old with kindness. It may be different in the cinema, but I did not feel any particular lack. I even had, lately, very beautiful roles in the cinema“.
To pass this beautiful course, Emmanuelle Béart knows that she will have to rely on her large family, as she explains in the magazine. “The way we are loved, the responsibilities we have mean that in the end, 60 years remains a number. Of course, I’m not sure I’ll be happy that day, but frankly, I have a grandmother who left at 107 and my mother, at 80, is in great shape. Maybe in my family, we don’t look at time passing in the same way…“.
And his three children, Nelly (30 years old and now married to the grandson of Simone Veil), Yohann, 26 years old and Surafel, 13 years old should also be by his side to bring him even more serenity!
