A conspiracy theorist? This is the question posed by the sympathizers but above all, the opponents, of Ségolène Royal on September 1st. The reason ? His somewhat lunar remarks on BFM-TV about the war between Ukraine and Russia. For the ex of François Hollande, the country led by Volodymyr Zelensky would use war propaganda by fear and wished to make it known.
“If only the first event that was said, the bombed motherhood. When Mr. Zelensky toured the European parliaments, that’s where the peace process stopped. He used that, he said: ‘I met a pregnant woman who said avenge me'”she accused at first before continuing: “He was unable to give the name of this woman, we did not know the names of the victims. And you can imagine that if there had been the slightest victim, the slightest baby with blood, at the time cell phones, we would have had them”.
Error that does not pass
It only took her a few days to recognize her mistakes and admit that she had gone far too far in her words. This is why, with our colleagues from Check newson September 5, she made her mea culpa. “I could have let believe that I was saying that there was no victim at all. It is a mistake, I recognize it, and I apologized to the victims. It was three sentences to out of the blue, a few minutes at the end of a program that was not about this subject”she admitted.
Not enough to convince Thomas Sotto, however. Indeed, the journalist attacked Ségolène Royal live in Telematin when one of its columnists disseminated the many fake news circulating on the Web, especially since the emergence of social networks, taking the example of the Boutcha massacres. A pole seized by the presenter: “There is no need to go on Tik Tok to hear anything about Boutcha, hello Ségolène Royal”. The message has passed and should not please everyone.
