In this month of pink October, the fight against breast cancer is at the heart of the news. It is the most common cancer (58,500 new cases of breast cancer in metropolitan France in 2018) and the deadliest (12,146 deaths in 2018) among women*. Even if its mortality is decreasing thanks to research, improved treatments and prevention, it continues to affect nearly 1 in 8 women**.
O Pink October
The event “O Pink October” will take place from 7 p.m. at the Prima Circus restaurant, in the heart of the St Cyprien district. Aurelieprofessional make-up artist at Aurélie S. Make up and Beauty, and Mélanie, decorator at Atelier Chamaison are behind the project
The establishment is fully associated with the project by allowing the collective to use its space and by offering a pink cocktail with the effigy of “O Pink October”. Part of the profits from this cocktail will be donated to the “Vivre comme avant” association. In the first part, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., a pop-up store of 100% Toulouse designers will be open to everyone. The creative partners will donate 20% of the proceeds to the “Vivre comme avant” association. They will also offer participants the products that will be up for grabs during the raffle during the evening.
From 7 p.m.: Festive evening – A prevention stand to learn, in particular, self-examination led by two midwives – An exhibition of testimonials from women affected by breast cancer – An amateur parade of models who have been affected closely or away from breast cancer wearing 100% Toulouse creations (including CLS by Sarah, Maison C, Les Comètes…) and styled by Marta Magdaleina – A raffle made up of products donated by the designers participating in the event – A concert hosted by Céline Lenfant – A “dance party” hosted by Héloïse (DJ Neverstop)
