(Montreal) An apartment building in Drummondville, a 7-plex, was engulfed in flames on Saturday morning. A 54-year-old man was seriously injured and his death was unfortunately confirmed in the evening.

The fire broke out in the multiplex on rue Saint-Marcel around 9 a.m. on Saturday. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) confirmed around 10:45 a.m. that he was under control.
No other people were injured, the SQ said.
Everything indicates that the fire is accidental, it would be a cooking fire which would be the cause. The fire reportedly started in the victim’s apartment.
