The ambulance is in service this Saturday at the beginning of the afternoon when it crosses the village of Berles-Monchel, near Aubigny-en-Artois. She then hit a car at the intersection between the D75 and the D82, in the direction of Izel-lès-Hameau. The ambulance patient, aged about 90, was ejected and died instantly. This accident injured four people: the ambulance driver was slightly injured, the passenger had to be extricated.

The driver of the car was taken in medical charge to the Arras hospital center. At his side, his young 12-year-old passenger is slightly injured. The intervention is still in progress this Saturday at 3 p.m., the Aubigny-en-Artois gendarmerie is on site. According to the town hall of Berles-Monchel, this crossing of the two departmental roads is “particularly dangerous” : priority denials are common.
