For the eighth edition, the city of Paris is organizing a new vehicle-free day: no cars, scooters or trucks, whether thermal or electric, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Make way for alternative modes of transport: bicycle, rollerblades, scooter, skateboard…
The municipality provides for reinforced controls and the installation of barriers around the first four districts, the sector of the avenue des Champs-Elysées, part of the Bois de Vincennes and Boulogne. Add to that a dozen districts, mainly on the right bank: notably all around Montmartre, Château-Rouge, the Bassin de la Villette, the Saint Martin canal and the rue de la Roquette sector.

Residents will however be able to return home, on presentation of proof of residence. Without this, drivers risk a fine of €135.
On this occasion, some municipal car parks (managed by Indigo and Saemes) offer reductions in parking prices (from -30 to -40%).

45 free minutes of Vélib’, in all the Ile-de-France municipalities that have Vélib terminals. All you have to do is register and give your bank details, and the bike, mechanical or electric, is yours for three quarters of an hour.
