On March 2, Jean-Pierre Pernaut died of lung cancer at the age of 71. Since then his wife Nathalie Marquay is inconsolable. Lou Pernaut’s mother shares her grief on social networks, through memories, thoughts, and on September 16, his last little attention to her late husband. Nathalie Marquay invites us to meet in a garden and presents her latest find, a shrub named love apple tree, which she films in her Instagram stories. “I decided to go see my little Jean-Pierre and drop him candy apples”she says.
In the life of Nathalie Marquay, Jean-Pierre Pernaut is everywhere. Last month, she also shared a destabilizing discovery in Egypt on Instagram. A photo of four men around a coffee, one of them looks exactly like the former presenter of the JT. “Incredible, the lookalike of my love in Egypt”wrote the former beauty queen in a story, before adding: “I enlarged the photo, what do you think? I know that on earth we all have a look-alike”.
Despite having prepared for years of this for the probable disappearance of her husband, Nathalie Marquay is nonetheless upset … Last June, she confided on the airwaves of RTL that she felt for a while that Jean-Pierre Pernaut was not going to blow out his 72 candles. “Hummings, people will call me crazy but I knew he wouldn’t make it past 72. I told my best friend, my daughter’s boyfriend about it. Over ten years ago , I said ‘I’m very scared because I don’t see Jean-Pierre celebrating his 72nd birthday. It’s not a flash, it’s something inside. It’s visceral. It’s like if someone talks to me when they don’t talk to me: ’72 years is going to be complicated'”she said.
