(Montreal) The inert body of a woman in her forties was found Friday morning in her apartment in the borough of Montreal-Nord. The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) considers the event to be a suspicious death.

Authorities were notified around 9:30 a.m., said SPVM spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
The police went to the deceased’s apartment, located on boulevard Lacordaire, near the intersection with rue Charleroi.
“On the spot, they found that the circumstances of the death were suspicious and an investigation is underway,” explains agent Brabant.
