“The epidemiological situation has changed dramatically in recent weeks.” In a review (PDF document) published Monday 22 November, the Scientific Council recommends “Lowering the age of eligibility for the vaccination booster to 50 years by keeping an interval of 6 months after the primary vaccination”. Faced with the evolution of the epidemic, the body also invites “to consider a vaccination booster for the entire adult population”. In addition, the Scientific Council suggests incorporating this booster dose into the health pass for those 50 and over. “with an adapted temporality”. Currently, only those 65 and over will be affected by the integration of their booster dose into the health pass, from December 15.
In its opinion, the Scientific Council also insists that the maintenance or even the reinforcement of “primary vaccination efforts”. He finally pleads for a “extension of teleworking”, the “reintroduction of the wearing of the mask in certain places”, a “limitation of gatherings” or a “reinforcement of reactive screening at school” to face the “fifth wave”.
