We are presented with CarréBox as a “new generation” storage box rental space, why?

Quite simply because it is a service that is totally free. You come there as you want and you can terminate your contract very easily, unlike the classic furniture storage where it will be difficult to have access to your belongings. We’re gonna have to pay a fee to get his crate back. At Carrébox, you come seven days a week.

The storage of boxes, the comings and goings of vehicles, lighting have an impact on the environment. Can you reduce it?

We have limited our impact as much as possible by installing LED lamps with motion sensors, which allows us to reduce the lighting time in the corridors and in the company vehicles, we use hybrid engines for the majority and our entire fleet of cars is being converted to hybrid or electrified.

Tell us about the site you are opening in Dijon?

In Dijon, we offer 346 boxes, that’s about 2,000 square meters of storage and we go from the smallest, which is a locker of one square meter on the ground and one meter 50 high, up to boxes of 30 square meters . This is the largest capacity we have in Dijon.

What type of clientele are you targeting? Are they more professionals or individuals?

It will be both. The majority will be individuals, in the context of removals, works, but also professionals who need storage and reception of goods, additional services dedicated to them.

Are you completely secure at the site level?

Absolutely. It’s completely secure with a personal access code for each client that allows access seven days a week, from 8 am to 8 pm for individuals and from 4 am to 10 pm with our additional access options.

In the event of a breakdown, what happens?

We thought about it and we set up assistance that works seven days a week, so from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. on all of our customers’ accesses. This allows you to always have someone to contact in case of a problem.

How much does it cost to rent a box from you?

Our rates are quite variable depending on the size of the box. We will start on around twenty euros per month for a deposit. For an average size of five square meters, we stay around 80 € including tax per month, with contracts of one month of commitment, cancellable with seven days notice before the date of invoicing. It’s really simple and the notice is done online.

Can we pick up our things whenever we want?

When we want. It’s completely free, even on weekends. It’s seven days a week and even on holidays.

In Dijon, Carrébox is a new company with a new site, what are your forecasts for the first year? How many customers does it take to be profitable?

In the first year, we will say that we hope to reach a hundred customers in 2022, everything obviously depends on the type of contract.

Can we use CarréBox as a “darkstore”?

In the midst of the controversy over darkstores, these warehouses located in the heart of cities to allow rapid deliveries of shopping but generating nuisance for the neighborhood, can the type of storage space offered by CarréBox be used for this type of activity? The answer is clear from Damien Coisne. “We will not be able to do business with us. On the other hand, a storage activity for goods is quite possible, but not for perishable foodstuffs.” says the co-founder of the company.
