They sign their big comeback in a reality TV show. Jessica Errero (revealed in 2017 in The Marseillais South America) and Fanny Salvat (in 2016 in People from Marseille South Africa) are candidates in the new W9 game called The Fifty. For the occasion, Purepeople was able to meet them in order to come back on their adventure but also, to evoke their couple.
It’s been a long time since you’ve been on TV. What have you done in the meantime?
Fanny : I opened my beauty and tanning centers. Currently, I have two institutes and a training center.
jessica : I made my short film and I shot in it. I’m presenting it at a lot of festivals, platforms. And I try to have a production. We will see what it will give.
What made you want to embark on this adventure?
Fanny : The game first.
jessica : It was a new show and what’s more, a game with strategies and that’s what we like. We hesitated at the beginning in relation to our couple or our professional projects but we said to ourselves that we only had one
single life. We do not regret at all to have participated. It’s my best adventure.
Fanny : Indeed, it was a very beautiful adventure, the concept is unique.
Are there candidates you dread seeing again?
Fanny : No, there is no one I was afraid to see.
jessica : To be afraid of someone means that one is afraid of the person. And I’m not afraid of anyone.
What was the most difficult in this adventure?
Fanny : For me, it was to live in community. For three years I stopped reality TV so I was no longer used to it. And with Jessica, we’ve been together for two years and it’s true that during this period, we got into our bubble a bit. So having a lot of people around me during the shoot was complicated.
jessica : What was complicated for me was just that I was getting lost in my strategies. I tried so hard to do some that sometimes I forgot some.
You made your relationship official on the show. Why did you wait so long ?
jessica : We didn’t talk about our story before simply because we wanted to preserve our relationship. We were so good that we didn’t want things, like people’s judgment on social media, to interfere with our story. But we did not decide to do the show to formalize our couple. We really came for the game. We said to ourselves that we had been together for two years and that we were calm enough in our life as a couple to go there.
Fanny : We didn’t hide, we just didn’t show up. It’s different. We lived our story like everyone else lives theirs in normal times. Admittedly, we did reality TV, we shared our private life before, but here we decided to preserve ourselves and avoid the judgments or criticisms of others. People can be tough on social networks so we thought that for once, we were going to enjoy it together. And it worked since we’ve been together for two years.
jessica : Our love story was not born in front of the cameras as it may have been the case before with Valentin [Léonard, NDLR] or with his ex Fanny. So we didn’t really see the point of showing it too.
We know that couple shows, especially when there is competition, can be complicated. How did you experience it?
Fanny : It was complicated that, if Jessica lost herself in her alliances, I had even more trouble following.
jessica : We played for us and we also wanted the good of the other. There were no tensions about who was stronger or anything.
Fanny : We weren’t both in competition, we went as far as possible. And if one of us was eliminated, the other would fight to go even further for both of us.
Fanny, you found your ex Vivian on the show. How did that happen ?
Fanny : He is a person who likes to sting everyone, ex or not. I’ve had a relationship with him for years and he hasn’t changed. He stung us a bit, but that was nice.
jessica : It’s not a bad person, it’s his character.
Fanny : He has a very specific character but he is not really bad yes. We managed to laugh about it.
Do you have plans for two, like maternity wishes?
jessica : It is more the professional projects that take precedence.
Fanny : We talk about it but we have a lot of projects. We have time, we are young. Professionally speaking, we still have to climb a lot of steps. We also want to travel, so we give ourselves time.
jessica : Indeed I want to move forward in the world of cinema but in France, this environment is a bit complicated, especially when you’ve done TV. So I planned to go to Los Angeles for two months to see what I can do there. I will also create a YouTube channel on travel with a person I met in Les Cinquante. So a baby… Already I have trouble managing myself.
Fanny : I also have trouble managing it (laughs).
And marriage?
jessica : Fanny loves weddings. I start from the principle that we don’t need to get married to prove the love we have for each other.
Fanny : For me, a wedding is good. It is a commitment. And you pay less tax… I try to negotiate as best I can.
jessica : I think that one day, she will succeed in convincing me.
Do you live under the same roof?
Fanny : Yes we live together. We haven’t left each other since we met. We both moved in very quickly.
