(Longueuil) A 26-year-old man is between life and death after being hit by the driver of a vehicle on Sunday morning in Longueuil.

He was mowed down during a reversing maneuver in the parking lot of a pool parlor in the Saint-Hubert district. The accident occurred around 4 a.m. on Cousineau Boulevard.
The victim was transported to a hospital, where there were fears for his life on Sunday afternoon.
The driver, who remains detained, faces charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing injury, explains officer Mélanie Mercille of the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL).
An investigation is underway to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the accident.
