It’s a new record. The charity video game marathon, Z Event, raised more than 10 million euros on Monday, September 12. This year, the beneficiary associations are four environmental NGOs: Sea Shepherd, the League for Birds (LPO), The Sea Cleaners and WWF.

For three days, from Friday 6 p.m. until Monday at 2 a.m., 57 video game streaming stars raised funds by completing several challenges. These challenges, called “donation goals”, are proposed by the players and they will complete them if the displayed donation goal is reached. In 2021, the ZEvent had already raised more than 10 million euros for the NGO Action against Hunger, a far cry from the 170,000 euros collected in 2016.
