Sunday, September 11, the remains of Queen Elizabeth II arrived in Edinburgh (Scotland), at the end of the afternoon, in the throne room of the palace of Holyrood. The funeral procession had started the first leg of its final journey around 11 a.m.

Slowly, without a sound, Elizabeth II’s hearse left Balmoral (Scotland), dSunday September 11. It was a little after 10 o’clock when the coffin took the road, covered of the Scottish royal standard on which was placed a simple wreath of white flowers. The queen has embarked on her last journey. She traveled almost 300 km through small green country roads that she loved so much.

Just behind her, her daughter, Princess Anne, was in a limo with her husband, to follow the coffin. First they have crossed the village of Ballate (Scotland)where the queen had her habits. The emotion there was particularly intense.It’s very poignant and calm“, testified a woman. Then the convoy made its way to the city of Aberdeen (Scotland). At the edge of the fields, a guard of honor was formed by tractors. A little further on, riders lined up in a row to pay homage to their sovereign. The route ended in the late afternoon in Edinburgh, the Scottish capital and official residence of the crown.
