two motorcycle accidents including one fatal a few hours apart

Two men in their thirties died in Aureilhan, near Tarbes, this Saturday, September 10. They were riding a motorcycle on the RN21 when they collided with a car. The passengers of the vehicle, and those of a second motorcycle which arrived a few seconds after the accident, were slightly injured. They were transported to Tarbes hospital. The circumstances of the tragedy remain unclear for the moment. An investigation has been opened.

Earlier in the day, another accident involving a motorcycle resulted in a serious injury. A 46-year-old woman was traveling between Cauterets and Pierrefitte when she lost control of her vehicle. She fell forty meters into a ravine at the place called “la Galène” following its exit from the road. Initially, she was taken care of by the PGHM gendarmes stationed nearby, before being taken care of by the firefighters. She was evacuated in serious condition to Lourdes hospital.
