As the end of the year holidays approach, the health situation is becoming more and more worrying. A situation reminiscent of the end of 2020 and which leaves the French perplexed on the Christmas market in Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle).
In Nancy, in Meurthe-et-Moselle, the Christmas market is back to the delight of regulars and traders, after a blank year, in 2020. But faced with the progression of the epidemic of Covid-19, the situation divides the French. Some passers-by believe that everything will be better than last winter, where the French were confined before experiencing a curfew during the holidays. “Most people wear the mask, we are careful, we are not too stuck, that reassures me”, testifies a passerby.
Other customers of the Christmas market are more worried and take their precautions by coming when the event opens. “We come on opening day, because if we look at the news that scares us, we don’t know if it will close”, testifies a man, rather worried by the evolution of the situation. Finally, other passers-by are much more fatalistic, resigned to the upsurge in cases in the territory. “We are not going to stop living just because there is the Covid, we still have to be careful, but hey, we can still live anyway”, testifies a man. Shared and varied points of view a few days in December.
