Death of Elizabeth II: first images of Kate Middleton, tired face and dark glasses… strong support for her children

This Thursday, September 8, 2022 marked the history of the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth II has died at her Scottish castle of Balmoral at the age of 96. The disappearance of Her Majesty plunges the world into historic mourning. Until the end, she was surrounded by her family, even if some members of the royal family were missing. If Prince Harry arrived at her bedside once she was already publicly announced dead, Kate Middleton, she had stayed with the children, George, Charlotte and Louis. The Duchess of Cambridge – now Duchess of Cornwall, since the heir to the throne is now styled Charles III, becoming king aged 73 – appeared for the first time since the tragic news (see photos here, at Email online).

This Friday, September 9, Kate Middleton was photographed going to the new Lambrook school of her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, to pick them up. Hidden by thick black sunglassesshe was seen for the first time since the announcement of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Dressed in black, a sober ponytail as a hairstyle, pearl earrings, she looked rather tired but dignified. Testifying to the night which must have been short the day before. Because if she was not present on the spot, it is certain that the wife of prince William had to support him from a distance, in this terrible moment.

Kate Middleton was not at the Queen’s bedside

The disappearance of the monarch marks history, the British people are in mourning. And the royal family is on the front line of this “after” that we will have to build. The death of their great-grandmother the Queen will be a blow to Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4. They have always been close to her and were about to be even closer as the Cambridge clan have just moved to Adelaide Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle – where Her Majesty has spent most of the year. In this terrible moment, Prince William rushed to Balmoral to be at the bedside of his adored grandmother, when the Duchess decided to stay in Windsor to support the children at school, in which they have just done their return.
