Festival of the sea in Mesquer

The Fête de la Mer, a gathering of traditional shallow-draft boats in the port of Kercabellec around the Bois Salé treasure hunt. Crews are expected on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September. The crews will be welcomed at the end of the afternoon on Friday. The start of the treasure hunt will be given on Saturday morning. The boats will be back in port around 4:30 p.m.

The Fête de la Mer is also two days of activities on land for all and free in a family and friendly atmosphere with workshops, stands of local associations, demonstrations, local producers and craftsmen, animations, and of course the observation of the boats in navigation then their return in music at the end of the afternoon. Saturday will end with a free festive Celtic rock concert with OUBERET. The concert “LES BICHES COCOTTES Sing the sailors” will close the Fête de la Mer on Sunday at the end of the day

At sea, around thirty boats are expected (Bantry skiffs, sardine sloops, canoes, canoes, sails and oars, etc.). On land, local associations (environment, nature, history, boating, etc.), local producers and artists will offer information, activities and entertainment.
