FBM: Serious things start on Saturday for you. You attack the season, promoted in National three. Is it a good season in perspective?
Emmanuel Lepage:Yes quite. We left each other at the time of the Coupe de France, last June. It was a pleasure to have participated in this event. We came back with a little disappointment since, of course, we had taken 600 people to Paris, but we had had a defeat at the last moment on the wire.
FBM: So what is the objective? I imagine it’s maintenance?
PE: “The objective is indeed maintenance. It is above all to discover and then see how, sportingly, our players will evolve. We have good hopes of shining in this championship. A priori, we have strong forces, we are “It’s strengthened a little bit. We have two players coming from outside, so quite confident. Now we’re going to learn as we go, we’ll see what the first matches give us.”
FBM: You are just starting out at home. It’s a good thing against Segré who comes down from N2. Do you expect a lot of people for this first game?
PE: “Adversity, of course, since we are going to discover the National 3. It’s still a stage. We are coming out of the regional division, we are going to rub shoulders with national teams. Segré, they have a good career and it It’s such a structured club, which is moving forward and which had been in N2 for three years, if I’m not mistaken. We went to play Saint-Malo in a friendly match recently and we had a good performance, so we’ll see. is not going to draw plans on the comet. I think that it will be a moment of discovery. As for the supporters, it is rather a great craze. It’s a derby. We are 20 kilometers from Segré. We know that the people want to rally around this event. So it’s looking pretty good.”
FBM: Did you talk about the famous regional French Cup against Palaiseau? It was in Paris in June. You lost on penalties, have you recovered?
PE: “Yes, we recovered, we learned. We have a young team, I remind you. 22 years old on average, so it’s still very, very young. Our recruits are not going to raise the average since Alexis and Malik, who are joining us, are 20 years old. I would say that yes, we are back because we have to project ourselves forward. And the friendly matches have already put it all back in line. But hey, we will once again discover and be positive for this first event.”
FBM: A word all the same on women, we know that there is a craze for women’s sport. The women therefore, who are on a good dynamic even if they did not go up last year. The objective is this rise finally this year?
EP: “There are 40% of women including a first team which plays in regional excellence and which aims to play for the top of the ranking. We integrate a lot of young people, who played in the regional under-17s and who finished undefeated of their championship. I had the pleasure of coaching them this weekend since I chair the club and I coach the women’s team. We’ll see if the chemistry takes hold between the young and the old. We’ll try to make going through all that. It usually goes well.”
