After the troubles linked to the work of the summer, the users of the Normandy lines still experienced a very difficult evening, this Monday, September 5, this time linked to the bad weather which affected Paris and its region. Train 3124, which left Le Havre at 5:07 p.m. hit a tree near Villennes, in the Yvelines. Dthe branches have become lodged in the pantographthe articulated arm allowing the train to pick up electricity on its way.
The SNCF first planned an alternative route, extending the travel time by two hours for four trains. But several eventually had to be removed. Train 3125, which left Paris at 6.41 p.m., first announced with a delay of 120 minutes, was blocked by another tree.
Around 10 p.m., faced with a situation that was dragging on, firefighters were called to take care of the passengers of this train 3125, stranded for several hours.
Several passengers have been on social networks of their annoyance at the situation.
