This is probably the strangest season of the long and distinguished career of Novak Djokovic. Since last January, nothing has been the same for the 35-year-old tennis player, who experienced a real nightmare when he arrived in Melbourne to participate in the Australian Open. Opposed to vaccination against Covid, he was not allowed to stay on Australian territory and was therefore simply expelled by the local authorities. After this real snub, he had the chance to participate in Roland-Garros where he was beaten by his greatest rival and undisputed master of clay, Rafael Nadal.
Despite everything, Novak Djokovic had a very nice spell at Wimbledon with a superb final victory over Nick Kyrgios, helped by the injury of the Spanish legend in the quarter-finals. Even though he is one of the greatest tennis players in history, the Serb didn’t get a pass to play the US Open this year and like Australia, he has to just watch his rivals from his television set, along with his wife, Jelena and these two children. Settled in Monaco for several years, the small family seems happy and despite the sporting setbacks of the champion, he does not seem more affected than that, quite the contrary.
Nice day with the family, at the water’s edge
On his Instagram account, where he is followed by more than 11 million subscribers, Novak Djokovic posted a joint post with his wife to share some photos of a somewhat special day. Indeed, yesterday, their daughter Tara celebrated her 5th birthday, the opportunity for the whole family to enjoy a beautiful day. “So many things to be grateful for! Tara just turned 5, we were all together and we’re all healthy!”, rejoices the beautiful Jelena in her message. A beautiful day when the adorable little blonde was able to put on beautiful pink dress and during which the family was able to take a dip in the water.
