(Montreal) A man is resting in hospital after being stabbed in the middle of the night Monday, in the east of Montreal, during a fight which would have involved several people.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) reports that the 33-year-old victim is out of danger.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene of the attack.
The police were informed by a call to the 911 emergency telephone exchange that the fight had taken place around 3:20 a.m. in a residential and commercial area, at the intersection of Ontario East and Nicolet streets, in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district.
At daybreak, the police had not yet determined the cause of the fight.
A security perimeter was erected to allow SPVM investigators to shed light on this case.
