Charles Leclerc on the podium at the Dutch Grand Prix

Behind the untouchable Max Verstappen, winner in front of his home crowd to claim his 9th victory this season, the Monegasque Charles Leclerc manages to get on the podium at the last minute to take 2nd place in the overall drivers’ classification from Sergio Pérez (Red Bull ), only fifth in the race. Starting second on the starting grid, Charles Leclerc first lost track before benefiting from Mercedes’ questionable strategy with Lewis Hamilton. The Briton did not change tires in an attempt to keep his place on the podium but ended up being overtaken by the Ferrari driver on his new tyres. The Briton was furious. Leclerc limits the breakage. Next stop at Monza in Italy, on Ferrari land next weekend.
