Brive supporters in the starting blocks before the start of the championship

They no longer hold in place, the supporters. This Saturday, the Top 14 resumes its rights with in particular the first match of the season of Brive at home on its lawn against Lyon. “feeling of excitement” exclaims Romain, a fan of CA Brive, when asking him what his state of mind is before this first meeting of the season.

“Can’t wait to be able to find the Stadium again”

Romain hopes to see his friends again this Saturday at the Stadium, “It’s been a long time since we went there” he said. Sentiment shared by Thierry, another supporter of CA Brive. “It’s missing” he explains “because beyond supporting the club, it’s a place where you get used to, you find friends. It’s an important moment for each supporter” complete Thierry.

Expectations but some concerns

This excitement aside, the sporting expectations are quite high and cause a mixed feeling among these supporters. “There are good recruits” notes Roman, “with notably the two third lines (note, Papali’i and Bruni), it’s quite promising, but on the number, it seems worrying. To see if we will not have a lack during the year “ Roman fears. “Given the young workforce and not many arrivals, there are always uncertainties at this level” adds Thierry, reassured nevertheless by the recent announcement of the arrival of an investor, Ian Osborne, within the club. Hence the importance of maintenance, “if we can avoid a little stress at the end of the season…” proclaims Romain.

The groups of supporters already present

To welcome the players, this Saturday, a guard of honor is again scheduled around 3:30 p.m. Groups of supporters like the 100% Coujous will of course still be there to animate it. The Afeciouna also, explains Thierry, member of the team. “We are committed to being able to continue to animate and do things within the stadium.”

“Things are planned, we sat down with the club to study, and we’ll meet you in the next few days” – Thierry des Afeciouna, Brive supporter club

It is that last year, with the banners and the animations during the matches at 9 p.m., the Brive public present got its money’s worth. “We were able to put things in place that have resonance, complete Thierry, and we have seen the media relays are there. We show that Brive is moving.” Not to mention travel, with several buses full for the matches against Perpignan and Stade Français. _The 100% Coujous also mobilized a lot of people,_adds Thierry, especially at the end of the season. So looking forward to rediscovering this season and experiencing beautiful emotions.”
