The Russian gas tap was cut off in Germany. The supplier claims a three-day maintenance, but the Germans fear a permanent cut. Klaus Müller, president of the Federal Network Agency, wanted to reassure by explaining that the country was going “receive liquefied gas from Norway, via Belgium, the Netherlands and soon France”.
In Great Britain, they are betting on wind power: the largest wind farm in the world has just been completed off the county of Yorkshire. It will be able to supply energy to nearly one and a half million homes.

Hailstones caused casualties in Spain. In a few minutes, they sowed desolation in Catalonia. 77 people were injured and a 20-month-old baby, hit in the head, died. Many roofs, windows and windshields were destroyed under the impact of these thick hailstones.
