(LONDON) England experienced its hottest summer on record, tied with that of 2018, in terms of average temperature, the British Meteorological Service said on Thursday.

The average temperature reached 17.1 degrees during the three summer months (June, July and August for the weather services), including night, with “some regions having recorded less than 50% of their usual amount of precipitation”, a indicated the Met Office from provisional data, specifying that for the whole of the United Kingdom, the summer of 2022 is the fourth hottest.
