(Toronto) BC Lions quarterback Nathan Rourke, Toronto Argonauts linebacker Wynton McManis and Lions receiver Dominique Rhymes are the Canadian Football League Players of the Month for August.

Rourke completed 95 of 120 passes (79.2%) in his three starts for 1,340 yards and nine touchdowns. He added 96 yards and three rushing touchdowns.
The Victoria native led the Lions to three wins but suffered a foot injury in his last outing, against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who could sideline him for the rest of the season.
Rourke leads the league in passing yards (3,281) and passing touchdowns (25). He currently holds the mark of passes completed in a season with 79.2%, for a minimum of 250 passes attempted.
McManis had 33 tackles in four games for the Argos, plus three on special teams, a sack and a forced fumble. He leads the league in tackles (69) and defensive plays (85).
Rhymes meanwhile caught 27 passes for 402 yards and four touchdowns in four games. He leads the CFL with 893 passing yards and nine receiving touchdowns.
