Posted at 9:30 a.m.
It was around 3:50 a.m. that the police went to the scene, at the intersection of Sainte-Arsène and Boucher streets.
They then found a burnt-out vehicle, completely destroyed. “The vehicle is a total loss,” said officer Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
A can of gasoline found on the scene suggests an arson attack. A witness also saw a car leaving the scene very quickly shortly after the incident.
There are no injuries in this case and the investigators will come to the scene in the morning to analyze the circumstances of the case.
