To cope with the violence in Guadeloupe, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, announced on Saturday, November 20, the dispatch of around fifty members of the GIGN and the Raid to Guadeloupe. They arrive in addition to the 200 police officers and gendarmes already called in as reinforcements. The island is plagued by violence, looting and blockades against a background of contestation of the health pass.
