She finds the time to pursue an incredible career despite the four children she raises, with a lot of love, at home. Since August 24, 2022, the voice of Elodie Gossuin resounds in dark rooms since she lends her vocal cords to the character of Victoria Moon in the animated film Tad the Explorer and the Emerald Tablet. Cinema, television, radio… it is on all platforms. Today her children are grown up – Jules and Rose are 14, Léonard and Joséphine are 8 – but, there was a time, the former beauty queen had to put her professional life aside.
Welcoming two children at the same time was quite a challenge that she rose to with flying colors, despite some difficulties. “It’s cool, we have two arms, two breasts, so you can wear them at the same time, breastfeed them at the same time, but the greatest respect I have, honestly, is for single-parent families, she explains to Pure people. Those who are alone to raise a child, I don’t know how you manage. The greatest difficulty is to succeed in finding oneself, as a person, as a ‘woman of’ and simply a woman. I know there were days when I didn’t even have three minutes to shower, which was to say I didn’t even get in the shower, and that’s terrible to say. So I obviously didn’t welcome anyone home.“
With four children, it is difficult to find time in love
Fortunately, Elodie Gossuin was able to count on her own superhero, her husband, Bertrand Lacherie, whom she married in July 2006. Now that their elders are returning to high school, they will be able, a little more, to agree time. “With four children, it’s complicated to find time in love and alone too, because it’s important to be aloneshe assures. Afterwards, over time, things get better, because they are more independent, they wash themselves, they have friends, they take care of things together. It’s the magic of twins, you give them a best friend from birth…“
