“Frank cuts, I do not believe in them” declares the president of Medef Sud

In front of employers on Monday, Elisabeth Borne called on companies to save energy, telling them that they would be the first to be affected in the event of rationing. But the bosses are already making effortsanswers this Tuesday on France Bleu Provence Jean-Louis Maurizi, president of Medef Sud, representative of the bosses of the PACA region.

“The Medef did not hear the speech of the Prime Minister to commit, we have a collective responsibility to enter into a sober growth, starts Jean-Louis Maurizi. According to him, there is two levers to achieve energy sobriety : “control of heating consumption and greener employee travel.”

“Everything will be done so that there are no cuts”

“What annoyed us a little bit was the speech: ‘from September you will have to set up a plan’, I think that beforehand we must consult the companies, join forces, we will be there this winter, everything will be done so that there are no cuts, we will be responsible and we will put all the means into action for it”, adds the representative.

From there to cut off the gas and electricity tap? “Frank cuts, I don’t believe in it, we would have to be in a catastrophic situation, we don’t yet know how harsh the winter will be, we must not panic, but get organized.” On Friday, President Emmanuel Macron will convene a Defense Council devoted to the supply of gas and electricity to France.
