After three exemplary first matches this season, PSG were held in check at home for the 4th day of Ligue 1. The Parisians have to settle for a draw 1 everywhere against Monaco on Sunday August 28 at the Parc des Princes. PSG were trailing for a long time after a goal from Monaco Kevin Volland in the 20th minute. The Ile-de-France club has not found the solution during a sluggish first period against an exemplary Monegasque team.
The response from the Parisians came in the second half, thanks to a penalty signed by Neymar in the 70th minute.
Despite several chances, PSG failed to win against the Monegasques, who were much less convincing in the second period, visibly tired. Paris therefore concedes its first points of the season after this draw, the first of the season.
Paris is this Sunday evening at the head of Ligue 1 ahead of Marseille then Lens who also have 10 points. Next match for the Parisians from Wednesday August 31, in Toulouse.
