Quebec producer Luc Wiseman will serve a prison sentence of two years less a day for touching a minor.
He pleaded guilty to one count last month, dropping a preliminary hearing and trial.
He originally faced five counts, including sexual assault, sexual interference and assault on a person under the age of 16. He was also charged with producing and possessing child pornography.
Two of those charges were dropped, and Wiseman was acquitted of the charges of producing and possessing child pornography. The man was arrested in May 2021.
Owner of Avanti Groupe, which notably co-produces the show Everybody talks about ithe also has other well-known productions to his credit, such as The Little Life, A boy a girl, lie detectors and Hot pepper. He had left his functions within the production house shortly after his arrest.
