Two fake doctors, on the Doctolib online dating platform: this is what Carole, a mother, suffered. Last June, she decided to make an appointment on the platform in the Hérault for her two children. The consultation is carried out by video, and the exchanges immediately seem suspicious. “When I talk about my children’s medication, she does not ask me the dosage”, she wonders. The patient will never receive the prescription for her children. She will only receive a manifestly false care sheet, without a doctor’s registration number.

Faced with the alleged address of the doctors in question, no one knows where they are or what they have done with the medical records. The victim, the Council of the College of Physicians and Doctolib filed a complaint. Following the case, the company decided to tighten its controls. Previously, doctors who registered on the platform had up to 15 days to prove their right to practice. From now on, “no appointment” cannot be carried out before verification, ensures Doctolib. A team from France Télévisions did the test. New instructions indeed seem to have been given.
