The text published in the Official Journal specifies that any “movement of a supporter or an individual wearing, for example, a supporter’s outfit is prohibited between the communes of the department of Bouches-du-Rhône, on the one hand and the commune of Nice, on the other hand”.
The ministry refers to “risk of serious disturbance to public order” from the Marseillais, recalling the incidents that have taken place in recent years, such as in Metz in December 2019, in Rennes, in January 2020 or even in Saint-Etienne, on February 20, 2020, where clashes between supporters broke out.
OGC Nice supporters are also cited as being able to “frequent violent behavior”, with, for example, the bottle throwing of certain Nice supporters at captain Dimitri Payet. The incident dates back to August 22, 2021 at the Allianz Riviera.
